Although I've been a writer and editor all my career, my schooling was in art. I have a BFA in painting from Pratt Insitute in New York City. At one point in my young life I thought I wanted to be a comic book artist, then an illustrator. But instead I studied fine art, including painting and photography, and then stopped making art altogether after graduating. That's when I became a writer. But in recent years I've taken up art again, and I thought I'd post a few pieces from time to time. Let me know what

These pieces below are chalk pastels that I did after a trip to Taos, New Mexico. In the past my pastels have focused on landscapes and roads vanishing far off into the horizon. I still do those types of images, but I wanted to do a series that looked up at the sky.... Taos Alley, 20"x26" Jan. 2002 Rancho de Taos Church, 20"x26" Nov. 2001 Taos House, 20"x26" Oct. 2001 next >
